About the service I offer

Counselling can help you to explore feelings of stress, anxiety, depression or low mood. You may have a diagnosed mental health problem or perhaps you have been trying to live with growing feelings of discontentment or despair. If you feel this way counselling can help you to reflect on thoughts, feelings and patterns of behaviour without judgement, in a confidential space with a trained professional.

Initial consultation

You can contact me via text, email or by phone (0771 3166153/amy@amycarpenter.co.uk). I will always aim to reply within 24 hours. After a brief discussion about your needs, we can meet for an initial consultation. Here we will get a chance to meet remotely and discuss both how you are feeling and what your hopes are for counselling. The initial consultation takes one hour.

Counselling sessions

If after your assessment you decide to take up counselling with me to work with your issues, we can arrange regular weekly sessions. It is entirely up to you how long you attend sessions, but I do recommend that we work together towards a positive ending in order to maximise the longterm benefits of the counselling relationship. Please contact me to discuss further.
